Pre-College Program

The Lindeblad School of Music Pre-College Program was developed to prepare your aspiring young musician for the professional music world and help them as they grow into versatile musicians in a positive and collaborative environment. Our graduates have been accepted to Juilliard School of Music, Manhattan School of Music, NYU Steinhardt, Eastman School of Music, University of Michigan, Oberlin Conservatory of Music and more. For younger students, our teachers have also helped them enter Juilliard precollege, Manhattan School of Music precollege and several other performing arts schools. The Lindeblad School of Music precollege program is tailored to each student’s needs and goals with a series of topic workshops to be scheduled throughout the year.

What’s Next?

Students and their journey to higher music education are not one-size-fits-all. We offer a complimentary consultation with the school director, Dr. Shiho Vogel, who will custom match pre-college candidates with the right teacher. Matching is based on student personality, music goals and desired future goals. Our school understands that spending time with your teacher and sharing their dreams requires a connection on both emotion and experience as well as trust and daily commitment for practice. Our faculty has a wide array of different skill sets and knowledge. We offer competitive opportunities for your music resume including auditions to perform on the Carnegie Hall stage in NYC, Piano Fest, and as a soloist in the LSM Concerto Concert with a professional orchestra.
