Susan Ramirez

Musical Theater - Choreographer

Susan Ramirez is a multi-faceted performing artist who can be seen onstage regularly across the tri-state area.  As an actress, some of her recent credits include Woman 1 in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Pilar in Legally Blonde, Taylor Mckessie in High School Musical, Mimi Marquez in Rent, Whatshername in American Idiot, and Emma Carew in Jekyll and Hyde.  Susan has had the pleasure of performing at many venues including Lincoln Center, the Paper Mill Playhouse, SOPAC, MAYOPAC, and UCPAC.  She had the rare opportunity to work with Luis Salgado, an original cast member from the Broadway musical In the Heights.  

Susan has been a featured dancer in a number of productions ranging from contemporary to golden age musicals, including In the Heights, Cabaret, and Sweeney Todd.  She has tacked many styles of dance including jazz, musical theatre, ballet, hip hop, salsa, merengue, bachata, and urban street style.  She has choreographed both musicals and music videos.  In 2018 she choreographed In the Heights at Belleville High School, as well as Seussical Jr. at Lindeblad School of Music.  She choreographed and performed in a music video for artist Mike Uver, which reached over 10,000 views on YouTube.  

Susan has a degree in music education and performance.  She has a three octave range, is bi-lingual, and plays the guitar.
