I love music partly because of its illusive mystery- I believe the best part of composition, theory and performance cannot be explained. Although this can be true in many ways, as an educator, I strive to help my students think clearly and practically in response to creative problems. Verbally expressing the problem, building the techniques and skills to solve it, and studying various genres of music, my students make progress and I learn a lot from their journey.
